Anti Alcohol and Substance Abuse Community Meeting

With reference to the above-mentioned please note that the Department of Social Development in conjunction with the South African Police Service , The Department of Transport , Safety and Liaison , Roodepan Community Police Forum , Sol Plaatjie Municipal Ward Councillors of Roodepan , Woman and Youth Against Crime will be hosting a community meeting in Roodepan.

 

The purpose of the community meeting is

i. To inform the community of Roodepan about the harmful effects of illegal drugs and alcohol on  the community and health, including Feotal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders;
ii. To provide information on the available resources and support systems within the community.
iii. To mobilize communities to take action in the fight against drug abuse; and
iv. To  uphold and strengthen family values
v. For the community interact with government of the possible solutions on how to address the scourge of substance abuse .
