Zelda Vaatyn is originally from Jan Kempdorp and was admitted at the institution (Lorato Place of Safety) in 2013, she was enrolled at Dr. E P Lekhela High School.

During the National Portfolio of Committee's visit to the province, she was identified to be sponsored by the Dept for her matric farewell and also to be assisted to enroll at a university for further studies. 

Zelda is doing exceptionally well academically as well as at the Institution.

 

The school held its farewell function on the 16 October 2015 Friday at Horse Motel.

 

A farewell function was also held at the institution before she could leave for Horse Shoe Motel. The y/p at the institution were very happy and excited to see one of themselves going through such a wonderful experience in life and performed  different items for her, the office of the CFO also attended the function at the institution. 

 

The following people contributed towards the success of both the farewell at the institution and Horse Shoe Motel:

·         The dress, jewellery, was contributed by DSD and managers also contributed towards her make-up and       hair;

·         Ms Williams contribute the clothes of the after party – EP Lekhela High School Educator

·         Mr Lebitso, manager from Molehe Mampe SCC, transported Zelda and her partner to the function

 

The staff of Lorato place of safety assisted with arrangements of the function that was organized by the office of the CFO and the staff of LPOS donated for the y/p ticket to enter at the Matric farewell.

 

Zelda would like to thank everyone, especially the Management of DSD and the Office of the CFO for making this dream-night a reality.  She really felt like a queen.  Her favourite saying is: "Do not strive to be the best person in life, but to be a better person than yesterday".
