At last!!! The prestigious Long Service Awards could be held again, on Thursday, 9 March 2023, at Boontjieskraal near Kimberley; for the first time since 13 March 2019.
It was high time to honour employees who served the government and communities for 10, 20 and 30 Years, as well as those who retired during the period, April 2019 to March 2022.
This event let to quite interesting statistics.

The Keynote Address was delivered by the MEC for Social Development, Ms. Nontobela Vilakazi. The Program was managed jointly by the Acting Head of the Department, Ms Shouneez Wookey, the Chief Director: District Management and Institutional Funding & Monitoring, Mr Ichabod Manyane, and the Chief Director: Corporate Services, Ms Tapsy Saul.
The certificates were handed over to the beneficiaries by two (2) groups of Top Management:
